Panoz Cars

Panoz is an American company that is centered out of Hoschton, Georgia. The company was first founded in 1989 and has since then been the ultimate producer of luxury and high performance cars. They are the producers of both road and race cars. Both of which are considered top of the line. Probably the most well-known of all is the race cars that they produce for the IndyCar and other races of similar structure, where racers enjoy racing these cars because they are designed to be so good on the race track.

The Panoz Roadster is probably the most well-known of the cars that Panoz has produced. The car was the first car to be built of aluminum that made up the majority of the body of the car. This resulted in light weight as well as strength, which is something that all consumers want in a car. The car was usually purchased by consumers before it was even made, which gave consumers greater control over just what they wanted. So much so that many of the engine blocks were engraved with the name of the consumer, a luxury that only a few could afford. The Roadster was produced in a convertible form that had high performance. The car could go from zero to sixty in a little over four seconds, with a top speed of 140 miles per hour. The car would get approximately twenty miles per gallon which was a high mileage considering that the Roadster is considered a sports car. The aluminum body really gave it the edge, so much so that the term AIV, standing for Aluminum Intensive Vehicle was applied to the name of the Roadster. The Roadster was stopped being made in 1999 and quit being sold in 2000 to be succeeded by the Panoz Esperante.

The Esperante was produced in several different models, the base model was the most popular, however, the other models such as the GT, GTLM and GTS were popular with many demographics. The base model can go from zero to sixty in around five seconds. The other models did slightly better than this time since they included more performance factors such as turbo engines and so forth. The top speeds of these cars was around 150 miles per hour, however, that could be more or less depending on the model and the transmission that the person chosen. Once again, Panoz made the Esperante one of those cars that consumers could design in order to fit their needs and desires. Because of this, rarely do Esperante's sit on the lot waiting for a buyer as they are usually ordered for the consumer. The Esperante is also a car that is developed for the racing world as well, with the one attribute making it appealing to racers is the panels that can be easily replaced should damage occur.

The company is also designing cars that are specifically for the European market that just goes to show how well the cars are being received all over the world.
